Leah Kaplan, BS, CAS, is a Clinical Ayurvedic Specialist, 500 Hour registered yoga teacher, and a former intern supervisor for the California College of Ayurveda. She created the nutrition and lifestyle program for Nashville’s NuPower Yoga & Barre studio. In 2014, she founded Thunderbolt Ayurveda in Nashville, TN, a private clinical Ayurvedic practice with a full apothecary of herbal medicines. Now in practice for almost ten years and headquartered in Petaluma, CA, Thunderbolt has helped hundreds of people find balance and better health through Ayurveda. In 2020, she founded The Collective, a seasonal subscription service to create community and advance the presence of Ayurveda in people’s lives.
In addition to over 2,000 hours of Ayurvedic study, Leah also completed 500 hours of yoga training with YogaWorks in Santa Monica, CA and New York City, studying under Senior Teacher Trainer Jenny Aurther in the lineage of BKS Iyengar. She then went on to teach for YogaWorks in Northern California. She has since gone on to mentor under Tony Briggs and complete advanced studies with Matt Phippen and Carrie Owerko.
She has been a certified professional member of the National Ayurvedic Medical Association since 2015.
