As the Director and Founder of The School of Ayurveda, I am an Ayurvedic Health Practitioner with a private health practice based in Knoxville, IL. Through my practice, I extend my services to both my local community and clients across the globe.
Ayurveda entered my life serendipitously during my early 20s while residing in Beijing, China. Although it took me several years to commit to the path of becoming a health practitioner, the impact Ayurveda had on me personally during that time was profound. It fortified my body naturally, restored hormonal balance, and infused me with boundless energy, enabling me to embrace life to its fullest.
From a young age, I grappled with a compromised immune system, susceptible to frequent bouts of colds, flu, and various infections throughout the year. My upbringing in a rural Midwest farming town further limited access to holistic healing modalities, leaving me reliant on conventional 'allopathic' treatments that often provided temporary relief at best, laden with undesirable side effects.
Ayurveda became my beacon of hope, reclaiming my vitality and inspiring me to share this transformative journey with others. Through years of dedicated study and practice, Ayurveda empowered me to reclaim agency over my health. The concept of 'Ojas,' representing innate vitality in Sanskrit, resonated deeply with me as I witnessed my own restoration to balance and vigor.
By embracing Ayurvedic principles and rituals, we awaken to a profound awareness of our body, mind, and surroundings, fostering a profound connection through mindful choices and actions. My personal odyssey with Ayurveda remains an ongoing voyage, continually enriching my life with health and wellness. It is my fervent aspiration and mission to extend this gift of holistic well-being to you, guiding you towards vibrant health and vitality.
